Plaka is a marvellous long and wide beach with soft and very fine sand, crystal clear waters. The sand of the beach is very fine and white. It makes an excellent resort with lots of accommodation and it is home of numerous restaurants and cafes.

Plaka is great for swimming and sunbathing. There are quiet spots (south section of the beach) and busy spots with parasols and sun-loungers. Some of the restaurants will deliver snacks, food and drinks down to your loungers if you rent a chair and umbrella from them.
